Staying Busy on a December Weekend

Well we've been staying busy even as the temperatures start to drop. Shane has been working like a mad man so I've been trying to keep the boys busy at home during the week. Lincoln thought it was pretty awesome to poke pipe cleaners through the holes in a colander and even cleaned them up himself, by taking them into his room and throwing them on the floor.
Man that kid never wears a shirt
Shane spent the weekend fighting a cold so we got out of the house and went to a benefit for the local food bank where the kids could bounce around in bounce castle type things and make crafts. It was great to take them to a store and let the boys pick out a bag full of food to donate. I brought my camera but didn't even take it out of the diaper bag because I spent the whole time wrangling Lincoln and bouncing Warner in the front pack. Lincoln isn't a meek kid if you've ever seen him so I am struggling with trying to keep him with me / stand in line / listen in crowded places. He just wants to be independent and holding my hand when we walk out to the car sounds nothing like fun to him. We also think Warner is teething (I swear I can see a little white poking through but he won't let me get a good look) so he hasn't been the happiest of babies but is doing well.
We had the in-laws and my dad over for dinner on Saturday night and it was so fun to make a nice dinner and hang out with everyone and pass the baby round. He hasn't been napping long or sleeping well at night (worse than his typical not sleeping), so I think since there is absolutely nothing on my calendar this week I am going to try to take it easy and just do little by little rather than "doing it all" like I like to think I can. A few presents wrapped here, a few treats baked there. I do have to run into town one day this week but I'm going to try to get it all done once so I don't have to run in just for bananas like last week *thanks babe*

  1. Thanks for having me over...it was great to see everyone and play with the kids, enjoy a pretty awesome Seahawks game with you and cook dinner and so on. I look forward to doing it again soon!
